Bookshop Description

Hold Fast is a floating bookshop onboard a former Yorkshire coal barge Marjorie R, now permanently moored in Leeds Dock on the River Aire. We stock a mixture of new and used books. The name Hold Fast comes from a nautical phrase meaning 'steady the ship'. Hold fast hopes to be a calm space in a busy city.
